The American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine promotes excellence in research for the benefit of persons with CP and other childhood-onset disabilities.
Through its AACPDM Development program, the foundation will award grants of up to $5,000 to newly formed organizations for the purpose of developing and presenting a high-quality educational seminar focused on improving the early identification and treatment of individuals with childhood acquired disability.
Groups applying for a grant must be an AACPDM member in good standing (societies/groups with few AACPDM members should seek sponsorship by a member of AACPDM who has substantial knowledge of this society’s work and goals); be located outside the United States or Canada (preferably in countries with no like organization); be involved in research or care of individuals with cerebral palsy, developmental disorders, or other childhood acquired disability; and have potential additional funding to supplement the project to completion.
Applications must be received by August 31, two years prior to the estimated meeting date (i.e., applications requesting funding for a September 2020 meeting would be due by August 31, 2017).
See the AACPDM website for complete program guidelines and application instructions/deadlines.
