Saint Luke’s Foundation Invites Applications From Cuyahoga County Nonprofits

The Saint Luke's Foundation is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for programs that support underserved communities in Cuyahoga County.

Grants of up to $20,000 will be awarded to organizations working to address issues within the foundation's focus areas of Healthy People, A Strong Neighborhood, and Resilient Families.

1) Healthy People: Grants will be awarded in support of programs that provide residents with holistic access to, and support from, the healthcare sector; programs and initiatives that fully engage residents in a health-home, patient-centered model of care; programs and initiatives that enhance the quality, care coordination, and comprehensiveness of healthcare delivery; programs and initiatives that promote physical activity for residents; integrated services for residents to access healthier food choices; and resources and information that help residents leverage social support toward healthier living.

2) A Strong Neighborhood: Grants will be awarded in support of community-based efforts to improve the built environments and social conditions within targeted communities; collaborative efforts that increase the quality of life in neighborhoods and increase attachment to and engagement with place; ensure resident contributions to local and national policy agendas; and/or identify, engage, and increase the capacity of key stakeholders, including residents, community-based organizations, and policy makers

3) Resilient Families: Grants will be awarded in support of programs that provide integrated services to address the needs of the whole family and increase access and coordination of support for families; promote deeper parent engagement and advocacy on issues impacting families; provide support to parents in building networks with other parents and community-based resources; and promote information on parenting, healthy child development, and building financial security.

To be eligible, applicants must be an organization designated as a public charity under Section 501(C)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code, or a governmental unit or agency.
