The Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment is inviting applications to its Northern California Environmental Grassroots Fund.
The fund supports small grassroots groups in Northern California that are tackling tough environmental problems, including toxic pollution, urban sprawl, sustainable agriculture, climate change, and environmental degradation of rivers and wild places as well as communities and community health.
Grants awarded in the past have ranged in amount from $1,000 to $5,000.
To be eligible, projects must be implemented in Northern California, which includes the entire Sierra Nevada range, the Bay Area, the Central Valley, the Central Coast, and the North Coast. In addition, organizations must have an annual income or expenses of $100,000 or less.
