The Open Society Institute-Baltimore is accepting Letters of Inquiry for its Tackling Drug Addiction Treatment Initiative, which works to ensure universal access to treatment services for all in need, regardless of income or insurance status.
Grants will be awarded to organizations for programs or projects focused on using the opening created by the Affordable Care Act to help Baltimore City (and Maryland as a whole) achieve nearly universal access to a comprehensive, high-quality public treatment system; ensure access to high-quality public substance use disorder services for those that remain uninsured after healthcare reform implementation; and/or facilitate the creation of a strong, diverse addiction treatment advocacy community inclusive of those most affected by substances use disorder service policies.
Grant amounts will be determined on a project-by-project basis.
To be eligible, all applicants must be considered tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Letters of Inquiry may be submitted at anytime. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
See the OSI website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
