LGBT&S Alliance Fund Seeks Applications From Projects Promoting Community in Arizona

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Straight Alliance Fund, a component fund of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, envisions a diverse and caring southern Arizona community whose philanthropy meets the needs of all its citizens. To advance this mission, the fund fosters charitable giving in support of innovative programs that benefit the region's LGBTG community.

Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to programs in the fund's primary focus areas of LGBTQ community building and collaborations, transgender issues, youth and elder issues, and general operating support.

The fund will be holding an informational workshop for potential applicants on March 2 at the offices of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. Those interested in attending should RSVP at

To be eligible, applicant organizations must serve communities in southern Arizona and be considered tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
