The Meyer Foundation in Washington, D.C., is accepting applications from executive directors of its grantee organizations for its new Julie L. Rogers Sabbatical Program.
Established in 2014 to honor Julie Rogers, who served as the foundation's president from 1986 to 2014, the program provides executive directors of Meyer Foundation grantees who have been in their jobs for seven or more years with the resources and time they need to restore their energy and inspiration. Through the annual program, the foundation will award up to three organizations with grants of $50,000 to allow their executive directors to take a three- to four-month sabbatical.
To be eligible, applicant organizations must be a current grantee of the Meyer Foundation, have an executive director who has been in that role for at least seven years, and have an annual operating budget of at least $750,000. Sabbatical recipients will be announced in September 2018, and recipients will be required to take their sabbatical within a year of the announcement.
