The National Ataxia Foundation is committed to funding the best science relevant to hereditary and sporadic types of ataxia in both basic and translational research.
To that end, the foundation is inviting Letters of Intent for its Research Grant program. One-year seed grants of up $15,000 will be awarded to promising research projects, with grants of up to $30,000 possible for early or pilot phases of studies and ongoing investigations. Funding for ataxia-telangiectasia research proposals will receive a lower priority unless they lend themselves to an overall better understanding of the ataxia disease process.
Researchers from U.S. and International nonprofit and for-profit institutions are eligible to apply.
Letters of Intent must be received no later than July 16. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application by August 15, 2018.
See the National Ataxia Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
