Delmas Foundation Accepting Applications for Venetian Research Program

The Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation is accepting applications from individual scholars to its Venetian Research Program.

Through the program, the foundation awards travel grants of up to $20,000 over an academic year to individual scholars for historical research on Venice and the former Venetian empire and for the study of contemporary Venetian society and culture. Disciplines of the humanities and social sciences eligible for consideration include but are not limited to archaeology, architecture, art, bibliography, economics, history, history of science, law, literature, music, political science, religion, and theater.

Funds may be used for travel to and residence in Venice and the former Venetian empire, transportation within the Veneto, and specific research expenses.

To be eligible, applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and have experience in advanced research at the graduate level or equivalent.
