Korean American Community Foundation Accepting Applications for 2019 Grant Programs

The Korean American Community Foundation was founded in 2002 to strengthen the lives of individuals and families in the Korean-American community and beyond.

Currently, KACF is accepting applications for its 2019 Community Grants program.

Through the program, grants of up to $75,000 will be awarded to programs that strengthen the economic security of low-income Korean Americans in the greater New York metro area. The foundation will consider programs that provide skills-building and training that increase opportunities for quality jobs; improve access to financial resources and services and support immediate financial stability and long-term asset building; increase college matriculation and persistence; and/or improve access to affordable and stable housing. KACF supports direct service programs as well as programs that address root causes that are barriers to economic security for low-income individuals and families.

To be eligible, all applicants must be a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization or have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501(c)(3); be located in the greater New York metro area; have an operational history of at least six months; have an established working board of directors; and have filed IRS Form 990 and/or have audited financials.
