Community Foundation of Western Nevada Accepting Applications for Truckee River Fund

The Community Foundation of Western Nevada is accepting proposals to its Truckee River Fund for projects that protect and enhance water quality or water resources of the Truckee River.

Grants totaling $850,000 will be awarded to projects that improve bank or channel stabilization and reduce erosion; structural controls or low-impact development projects on tributaries and drainages to the Truckee River where data supports evidence of pollution and/or sediments entering the river; projects that remove pollution from the river; and/or projects that remove or control invasive aquatic species or terrestrial invasive plant species that negatively affect the water supply.

To be eligible, applicants must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency, nonprofit educational institution, or governmental entity.
