Founded by brothers Luke and Matt Bonner in 2013, the Rock On Foundation works to increase community-based artistic and athletic opportunities in New Hampshire. The foundation generates funds in unique ways, including high-profile events intended to inspire and enhance host communities. It also collaborates with for-profit companies to provide co-branded products and services.
Recently funded projects include renovations of municipal basketball courts; community music school financial aid programs; an afterschool art program; a life skills basketball camp for underprivileged youth; and funding for a Police Activities League.
In 2019, the foundation will award grants of up to $5,000 to projects that serve to increase community-based artistic and athletic opportunities in New Hampshire.
To be eligible for a grant, organizations must have 501(c)(3) nonprofit status under the Internal Revenue Code and be based in New Hampshire. Municipalities are also welcome to apply.
The foundation will begin accepting applications on February 1, and applications must be received no later than April 5, 2019.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Rock On Foundation website.
