CollegeBound Foundation Accepting Applications for Last Dollar Grants

The CollegeBound Foundation works exclusively in Baltimore City public schools to encourage and help students pursue a postsecondary education. A secondary goal is to improve the social and economic fabric of the community through an educated workforce. Since 1998, CollegeBound's nationally recognized college advising model has transformed the lives of tens of thousands of high school students.

To advance this mission, the foundation is accepting applications for Last Dollar Grants, a need-based program for Baltimore City public high school graduates whose expected family contribution and financial aid package total less than the cost to attend college. Students who are awarded a CollegeBound Last Dollar Grant are eligible to receive up to $3,000 per year, renewable for up to six years of college, or a maximum of $18,000. Approximately seventy grants are awarded each year.

To be eligible, applicants must be a 2019 graduate of a Baltimore City public high school who has been accepted to and/or attends a four-year college/university. In addition, applicants must demonstrate financial need, be eligible to receive a Pell Grant, and have an annual family income of $75,000 or less.

For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the CollegeBound website.
