Established in 1928, the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven works to create positive and sustainable change in its service region in the heart of central Connecticut.
To that end, the foundation is accepting applications for its 2019 Responsive Grants cycle. Through the program, general operating support, project support, and capacity-building grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations serving the twenty-town greater New Haven region. Organizations applying for a grant must be able to demonstrate a history of strong management and a track record of accomplishments.
The first-round deadline in the two-step application process is March 28, 2019. Following an initial review of first-round applications, selected applicants will be invited to a series of interviews and receive a site visit.
Eligible candidates must be recognized as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, adhere to a policy of non-discrimination, and provide services in the twenty-town area served by the foundation.
See the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven website for program guidelines, application instructions, a list of the twenty-one town region served by the foundation, and informational webinars.
