The Oregon Community Foundation is is accepting applications to its Nike Community Impact Fund.
Established at OCF in 2010 to benefit the communities where Nike employees live, work, and play, the fund supports innovative solutions designed to get kids moving through play and sport.
To that end, the fund is accepting applications from grassroots organizations (including nonprofits, community centers, and local schools) with programs that get kids moving, bring the benefits of sport to their communities, give kids an opportunity to fall in love with sport and physical activity, and create stronger communities where play, sport, and physical activity are a highly-valued part of everyday life. Priority will be given to inclusive programs that serve underrepresented populations.
At least $550,000 will be awarded through the program in 2019.
The program supports nonprofits and schools in the metro Portland (Oregon) area (i.e., the Oregon counties of Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, Yamhill, Columbia, and Clark County in Washington state).
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations that are tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, IRC 7871 federally-recognized Indian tribes, and government entities (such as a schools)
