The board of the Holberg Prize is inviting nominations for the annual prize.
Established by the Norwegian Parliament in 2003 and awarded by the Holberg board at the recommendation of the Holberg committee, the $600,00 prize is awarded annually in recognition of an individual whose research has had decisive influence in the arts and humanities, social sciences, law, or theology.
Scholars holding positions at universities, academic institutions, or other research institutions are eligible to nominate candidates for the prize. Self and posthumous nominations are not allowed. Note that all text and attachments must be written in English.
See the Holberg Prize website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
