Founded in 2013, the Las Vegas-based Rogers Foundation works to transform the lives of children and young adults through art and education.
To that end, the foundation is inviting applications from public K-12 schools in Clark County, Nevada, for the following programs:
Gift of Knowledge — With the goal of closing the achievement gap in vulnerable child populations, grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to programs or initiatives that improve student performance, particularly among at-risk student populations.
Gift of Assurance — With the goal of ensuring that the critical needs of students are met so they are able to focus and achieve in school, grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to programs or initiatives that assist in the delivery of basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, healthcare) to underserved student populations.
Gift of Imagination — With the goal of providing students additional opportunities for creative expression and offering the community at large the opportunity to engage in those endeavors, grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to programs or initiatives that increase student participation in and/or exposure to the arts or music.
The foundation recommends that as many stakeholders are included in the proposal as possible, including other educators, administrators, and parents. Priority will be given to schools that apply directly for funding, although nonprofits may also apply. Programs or initiatives must take place at pubic K-12 schools in the Clark County (Nevada) School District.
See the Rogers Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
