The American Chemical Society is accepting nominations for the WCC Rising Star Award, which recognizes women scientists approaching the midpoint of their careers who have demonstrated outstanding promise in their fields.
A $1,000 stipend for travel expenses to the organization’s spring national meeting, as well as the opportunity to present at a WCC-sponsored symposium and visibility and networking opportunities, will be awarded to up to ten winners.
Eligible candidates include female ACS members working in the academic, industrial, government, or nonprofit sectors. Candidates typically will be no more than fifteen years from receipt of their terminal scientific degree.
Self-nominations will be considered.
See the American Chemical Society website for complete program guidelines and nomination instructions.
