Health Forward Foundation Invites Applications for Safety Net Grants

The Health Forward Foundation works to provide leadership, advocacy, and resources to organizations working to eliminate barriers to and promote quality health for uninsured and underserved individuals in Kansas City, Missouri (including portions of Clay and Platte counties), the Missouri counties of Cass, Jackson, and Lafayette, and the Kansas counties of Allen, Johnson, and Wyandotte.

To that end, the foundation is inviting LOIs for its Safety Net Grants program, which is dedicated to projects and programs that improve access for vulnerable populations to a safety net of quality health and safe, timely oral health services. Awards will be given for project support and ongoing program support. In additional, federally qualified health centers and look-alikes are eligible to apply for working capital core support.

A total of $4.5 million is available through this program in 2019.

Letters of Intent are due July 24. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by August 21, 2019.

See the Health Forward Foundation website for complete program guidelines, application instructions, and a list of previously funded grants.

Deadline: July 25, 2019
