Amex invests $40 million in Accion Opportunity Fund
Part of a $1 billion racial equity commitment announced by American Express in November, the largest-ever investment in the organization is expected to generate more than $125 million in loans to small business owners, with a focus on people of color, women, and immigrants.
It is expected that the loans, in turn, will create or preserve more than ten thousand jobs and generate additional economic activity in local communities....
