The Philanthropy Innovation Summit is a biennial event that convenes individual and family philanthropists to discuss strategic and high impact giving. As we grapple with a global pandemic, economic depression, long overdue racial reckoning and challenges to our democratic systems, philanthropy is more critical than ever for the nonprofit sector and communities we intend to serve. Many philanthropists in the Summit community have already pivoted their grantmaking strategy, doubled down on their efforts, and are actively questioning how we can move forward to build a more equitable and resilient world.
This year, we will be launching the Philanthropy Innovation Summit 2021: Virtual Learning Series to connect philanthropists to one another to explore learning and giving opportunities together. The series of virtual events will be a combination of both high-level speakers providing valuable insights and solutions to current challenges, as well as engaging small group sessions where participants will meet and share ideas with their peers. To be mindful of online fatigue, we will format these meetings in shorter and interactive segments, equipping participants with tools and resources to take their next steps in philanthropy.
We will have three virtual Salons on February 24, May 26, and July 1 (tentative), that are topically focused and limited capacity to offer substantive discussion, and the whole community is invited to come together for a virtual Philanthropy Innovation Summit on October 6. The half-day virtual Summit will feature main-stage speakers, small group sessions to share ideas, opportunities to network, and as we have in the past offer practical tools to support your giving.
