'Eyes on the Horizon: The Impact Investor Survey'

Impact investors report seeing progress on key indicators of market growth, including collaboration among investors, availability of opportunities, use of impact measurement standards, and  number of intermediaries with a demonstrated track record, a report from J.P. Morgan Social Finance and the Global Impact Investing Network finds.  Eyes on the Horizon: The Impact Investor Survey (57 pages, PDF) found that respondents collectively manage a total of $60 billion in impact investments — 35 percent of which is proprietary capital and 65 percent managed on behalf of clients — with investments in housing accounting for 27 percent of investment dollars, followed by microfinance (16 percent), other financial services (11 percent), energy (10 percent), and health care (5 percent). But while progress has been made, respondents noted that challenges remain in areas such as access to capital across the risk/return spectrum and shortage of high-quality investment opportunities.
