The Denver-based Daniels Fund has announced the 2021 class of Daniels Scholars.
Selected from nearly two thousand applicants, the two hundred and forty high school seniors from Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming were recognized for their strength of character, leadership potential, and commitment to serving the community. Each scholar will receive up to $25,000 per year in educational expenses to attend an accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States. Funds may be applied to expenses not covered by other scholarship funds, financial aid, and the Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Since 2000, the foundation has awarded more than $220 million in scholarships through the program.
"The 2021 cohort is impressive and filled with outstanding young people who have promising futures ahead," said Daniels Fund president and CEO Hanna Skandera. "We're delighted to have them join the family of Daniels Scholars and look forward to being a part of their journey through college and beyond."
