The Micron Technology Foundation in Boise, Idaho, has announced a $12.5 million grant, including $5 million in matching funds, to Boise State University to help fund a new building for the school's College of Business and Economics.

In addition to modern instructional facilities, the $30 million building is expected to include a high-tech financial trading center where students are exposed to the latest practices in money management; centers for student services, economic development, and innovation; and public spaces where students, faculty, business leaders, and government officials can interact.

"This impressive lead gift from Micron is essential to building one of the Northwest's premier accredited business schools," said College of Business and Economics dean Howard Smith. "It will greatly enhance our ability to deliver first-rate undergraduate, graduate, and executive programs....Micron's investment not only uplifts the college and Boise State University but also the greater Idaho community."
