The Ms. Foundation for Women has announced a $3 million grant from #StartSmall, a fund and initiative created by Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey, to assist women and girls of color-led organizations impacted by COVID-19.
The grant will support strategies aimed at rapidly increasing funding and capacity building for female leaders of color and their organizations and on helping organizations working to build the power of women and girls stay in business.
"I am deeply gratified by this generous demonstration of trust-based support from Jack Dorsey and #StartSmall. This is what transformational funding to women and girls of color looks like," said Ms. Foundation president and CEO Teresa C. Younger. "We are thrilled to be able to move resources even more quickly to a field of leaders and community members who need the help right now."
