San Francisco Foundation Donates $4 Million for Hurricane Recovery

The San Francisco Foundation has announced a contribution of $4 million to the Puerto Rico Community Foundation in support of ongoing relief and recovery efforts on the hurricane-battered island.

The gift to PRCF's Community Recovery Fund, which has been supporting the broader relief and recovery effort with water purifiers, power generators, and meals, will bolster the community foundation's recovery efforts in the areas of water infrastructure and short-term food security, renewable energy infrastructure, community development and housing rehabilitation, and economic development initiatives.

The contribution boosts the total amount that PRCF has raised for the recovery effort to $8 million.
