With the aim of providing more people with the education, insights, and tools they need to build better lives, Truist Financial Corporation in Charlotte, North Carolina, has announced a $20 million commitment to expand a partnership with Operation HOPE.
The investment will support Truist and Operation HOPE's community-based approach to financial wellness, including an expansion of HOPE Inside financial coaching programs to a thousand Truist branches; the development of a platform that provides digital and mobile access to financial coaching and educational resources; and support for Operation HOPE's 1 Million Black Business Initiative, an effort aimed at launching a million Black-owned businesses by 2030. Truist will also serve as lead sponsor for HOPE Global Forums, a community designed to galvanize thought and action around building an economy that works for all.
"This new chapter with Operation HOPE...means we will be able to reach more people with HOPE Inside coaching and give them the support they need to build stronger financial futures," said Brant Standridge, head of retail community banking at Truist. "It means helping more Black entrepreneurs succeed. But most of all, it means giving hope, through financial empowerment, to thousands of individuals, their families, and their communities."
