Purpose of Site:
To serve as a source of funding and information about philanthropy in the Northwest.

Organization Description:
Philanthropy Northwest, formerly the Pacific Northwest Grantmakers Forum, brings together corporate, family, independent, public, and community foundations, as well as other institutional grantmakers, to share grantmaking experiences and expertise. The organization strives to help improve the lives of people in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington through educational and networking opportunities. Philanthropy Northwest has a membership of more than one hundred and forty organizations ranging from major corporate donors to small family foundations and works to provide its members and the public with the information necessary to create an atmosphere of trust and cooperation between grantmakers, nonprofits, and their communities.
