The American Association of Birth Centers Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established by the American Association of Birth Centers in 1994 to advance public knowledge and understanding of issues related to family-centered childbirth and support the advancement of the AABC birth center model as the standard for maternity and women's health care.
To that end, the organization has issued an RFP for its Research Grants program. Through the program, grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded in support of research on issues related to the birth center model of care.
Letters of Intent are due November 5. Upon review, select applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by January 7, 2020.
Eligible applicants include individuals and organizations, and nonprofit status is not required.
See the American Association of Birth Centers Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
