The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) is a nonprofit service organization that empowers working artists and emerging arts organizations across all disciplines at critical stages in their creative lives and professional/organizational development.
To that end, NYFA is inviting applications for its 2020 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship program. Through the program, unrestricted cash grant of $7,000 will be awarded to artists living in New York State and/or one of the Indian Nations located therein. Fellowship categories in 2020 include craft/sculpture, digital/electronic arts, nonfiction literature, poetry, and printmaking/drawing/book arts. The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is not a project grant but instead is intended to fund an artist's vision or voice at any stage of his/her artistic development.
To be eligible, applicants must be at least 25 years of age, a current resident of New York State and/or one of the Indian Nations located in New York State, and have maintained residency in the state for the last two consecutive years. Candidates may not be enrolled in a degree-seeking program of any kind.
See the New York Foundation for the Arts website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
