The Massage Therapy Foundation supports scientific research projects designed to advance the knowledge and practice of massage therapy.
To that end, the foundation welcomes applications for its Research Support Grants. Through the program, one-year grants of up to $30,000 will be awarded in support of high-quality, independent research that contributes significantly and directly to the knowledge of massage therapy and/or its application. Basic, applied, and translational research studies that investigate massage therapy as a wellness, medical, or health/mental health treatment and/or prevention intervention will be supported.
Applicants outside the U.S. are eligible to apply; however, the payment of award funds must be accepted by the institution in U.S. dollars.
See the Massage Therapy Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
