The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, in partnership with the Sohn Conference Foundation, welcomes applications for the Damon Runyon-Sohn Pediatric Cancer Fellowship Award.
The award provides a yearly stipend over four years starting at $52,000 in year one, as well as expenses of up to $2,000 per year, in support of scientists and clinicians conducting research with the potential to significantly impact the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of one or more pediatric cancers. Physician-scientist applicants (MD, MD/PhD, DDS, DVM, DO or the equivalent) must have completed their residencies and clinical training, be board eligible in the United States by the start date of the Damon Runyon-Sohn Fellowship, and be able to devote at least 80 percent of their time to Damon Runyon-Sohn-supported research activities. The proposed research must be conducted at a university, hospital, or research institution.
To be eligible, applicants must have completed one or more of the following degrees or its equivalent: MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DDS, DVM, DO. Clinicians and physician-scientists must have received their degrees no more than eighteen months prior to the application deadline date
