The Medica Foundation supports community-based initiatives that improve health, remove barriers to healthcare services, and drive innovative solutions with a high likelihood of creating long-term change.
The foundation currently has an open Request for Proposals from organizations in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and certain counties of Wisconsin with behavioral health programs. Through the RFP, grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded for new or the expansion of existing programs that provide support for serious mental illness and recovery from chemical addiction, including programs that address gaps in current service; integrate physical and mental health care; address co-occurring disorders; and provide supportive and intensive case management services. Organizations exhibiting trauma-sensitive practices and using a strengths-based approach to care are preferred.
Initial applications are due April 3. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by July 24, 2020.
Eligible candies must have tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or be a public/government agency located and providing services in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, or one of the following Wisconsin counties: Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Chippewa, Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pierce, Polk, Sawyer, St. Croix, and Washburn.
See the Medica Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
