The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation works to improve the periodontal and general health of the public through support of research and education.
To that end, it welcomes applications for the Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship. Through the program, a single fellowship of $30,000 ($10,000 per year for up to three years) will be awarded to a periodontist pursuing an academic career.
To be eligible, candidates must be either a full-time faculty member at the instructor or assistant level or a part-time faculty member. Candidates also must have been affiliated for ten years or less with a degree-granting institution, and their career goal must be teaching and research in periodontology. Applications will be accepted only from candidates at U.S. institutions. Candidates must be nominated by their periodontal program director.
See the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
