The New York City-based Bogliasco Foundation supports the arts and humanities by providing residential fellowships at its study center in the fishing village of Bogliasco near Genoa, a region of extraordinary beauty whose landscape has stimulated creative expression for centuries.
Bogliasco Fellowships provide one-month residencies to gifted individuals, without regard to nationality, age, race, religion or gender, whose achievement in any discipline of the arts and humanities helps us understand our place in the world, shaping and defining what it means to be human.
To be eligible for a fellowship, applicants must be able to demonstrate significant achievement in their disciplines, commensurate with their age and experience. (Note: Bogliasco Fellowships are not awarded to students currently in a degree-granting program.) The foundation gives preference to individuals whose applications suggest they would be comfortable working in an intimate, international, multilingual community of scholars and artists.
Applications are due April 15 for the spring semester beginning in January 2021
The foundation only accepts applications submitted through its online application system. (To access the system, applicants must first register for an account here.)
For additional information, including a list of application requirements and an FAQ, see the Bogliasco Foundation website.
