Eastern Carolina Community Foundation Invites Applications for Pee Dee Disaster Fund

The Pee Dee Disaster Fund was first established at the Eastern Carolina Community Foundation in 2010 through a partnership with Darlington Raceway in response to tornadoes that hit Darlington. In 2015, the foundation helped support organizations responding to flooding in the area, and more recently it has responded to Hurricanes Matthew and Florence.

In 2020, the fund is seeking applications from organizations responding to food, shelter, health, and nonprofit sustainability needs stemming from the COVID pandemic in a quick and efficient way. Grants of between $500 and $2,000 will be awarded.

To be eligible, applicants must be a nonprofit agency with an annual budget below $1 million serving the South Carolina counties of Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marlboro, Marion, and Williamsburg.

See the Eastern Carolina Community Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
