National Ataxia Foundation Invites LOIs for Post-Doctoral Fellowship Award

The National Ataxia Foundation is committed to funding the best science relevant to hereditary and sporadic types of ataxia in both basic and translational research.

To that end, the foundation is inviting applications for its Post-Doctoral Fellowship Award. Fellowship awards of $35,000 are intended to serve as a bridge from a postdoctoral to junior faculty position for individuals who have shown a commitment to research in the field of ataxia.

To be eligible, applicants should have completed at least one but no more than two year of post-doctoral training at the time of application and should have shown a commitment to research in the field of ataxia. The award will enable awardees to spend an additional third year in a postdoctoral position and increase their chances of establishing an independent ataxia research program.

Letters of Intent are due October 5. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application by November 2, 2020.

See the National Ataxia Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
