The Santa Barbara Foundation is inviting applications for its Behavioral Health Grants program.
Through the program, grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations providing behavioral health programs to residents of Santa Barbara County. Funding may be used for operating expenses and/or costs related to sustaining or expanding service delivery programs to meet demonstrated demand.
Priority will be given to organizations that demonstrate sustained and/or increased demand for behavioral health services; are taking steps to sustain or expand organizational capacity to address the demand for services; provide a holistic approach in serving clients undertaken by the agency itself or in partnership with others; demonstrate cultural competence among volunteers, staff, and board members for the communities served; are addressing barriers that prevent access to services; are developing strategies to address the root causes of behavioral health issues; and are working collaboratively to address behavioral health issues. Grants are available to organizations serving all parts of Santa Barbara County.
To be eligible, applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and provide programs and services in Santa Barbara County. A non-501(c)(3) is eligible to apply under a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)(3) status.
See the Santa Barbara Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
