Since 1996, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland has partnered with residents, nonprofits and community leaders to change the trajectory of poverty in Cuyahoga County.
To advance this mission, the foundation welcomes applications to its Good Samaritan Grant Program. Through the program, grants of $5,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations in Northeast Ohio for which a modest grant would make a difference in their capacity to provide basic goods and services to individuals living in poverty. Due to the economic impact of the global pandemic, the 2021 Good Samaritan grant program will prioritize organizations impacted by COVID-19 and programs and services that target the Cleveland’s Central neighborhood.
To be eligible, organizations must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and primarily serve residents of Cuyahoga County. Priority will be given to organizations that primarily serve the Central community and/or with annual budgets under $1 million.
See the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland website for complete program guidelines, application instructions, and a list of previous grant recipients.
