The Denver Foundation welcomes applications for its Climate Equity Fund, which seeks to support innovative local projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions while meeting the needs of communities most impacted by climate change.
To that end, grants ranging between $5,000 and $50,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations in support of programs with potential to reduce carbon emissions in a measurable way, as well as individuals, communities, and neighborhoods working to mitigate climate change impacts and improve community well-being. Projects must directly impact carbon emissions. Proposals focused on policy advocacy and/or organizing around climate change will not be considered.
To be eligible, applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Preference will be given to organizations working in the seven-county metro Denver area.
See the Denver Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
