The AccessLex Institute® seeks to foster broad-based access to quality legal education for talented, purpose-driven students and works to maximize the value and affordability of a law degree through policy advocacy, research, and student-focused initiatives.
To that end, the institute welcomes applications for its Bar Success Intervention Grant Program. Through the program, grants of between $150,000 and $300,000 over two years will be awarded in support of programs and interventions aimed at helping increase bar exam passage rates among students and/or graduates most at-risk of not passing. The central goal of the Bar Success Intervention Grant Program is to increase the knowledge base about effective bar exam success programming that is scalable and replicable.
Programs that encompass the following optional elements will be given preference in the selection process: differential treatment of participants (treatment/control group methodology) for purposes of program evaluation; relevant long-term support for participants; and collaboration with other institutions, organizations.
Letters of Inquiry must be received by May 31. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by September 14, 2021.
AccessLex will hold an informational webinar on May 12 at 2:00 pm ET.
