The James Thorpe Foundation in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is accepting applications from in-school and out-of-school-time programs that encourage character development, support academic success, and foster social and emotional well-being in middle and high school-age youth. The foundation also supports youth participation in arts programs that incorporate youth development goals.
Priority will be given to programs that serve economically disadvantaged and at-risk youth.
Recent grants have ranged between $5,000 and $15,000.
To be eligible, applicants must be recognized as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and be located in and serve the City of Minneapolis and its western suburban communities. The foundation limits its support to organizations with operating budgets of $3 million or less.
