San Antonio Area Foundation Accepting Applications to Responsive Grants Program

Deadline: February 16, 2018

The San Antonio Area Foundation is accepting applications for its Annual Responsive Grants program.

Through the program, grants are awarded in two cycles annually in the areas of animal services, arts and culture, children and youth, community-at-large, medicine and healthcare, and seniors, with grant amounts determined on a project-by-project basis. Organizations should ask for the amount needed to fund the program, but applicants should keep in mind that the total funding pool for the 2017 program was $20 million.

Those eligible to submit applications include nonprofit organizations exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; and schools, churches, or governmental bodies that serve Bexar and the following surrounding counties: Frio, Atascosa, Karnes, Wilson, Guadalupe, Gonzales, Comal, Blanco, Kendall, Gillespie, Kerr, Bandera and Medina.

The application period for the first cycle of 2018 will open on January 16 and close on February 16, 2018.

See the SAAF website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
